Security
Last updated: October 4, 2026
MwaiBoard keeps each organization's board records separate from other organizations. This page describes the controls in the product. It does not replace your own duties as an administrator.
Encryption in transit
Traffic between your devices and the live website and API is encrypted in transit using HTTPS (TLS).
Separate workspaces
Each organization has its own database. A signed-in person sees the workspace their organization has given them. Through normal use of the application, members cannot open another organization's workspace or its records. The administrator decides who is a member and what that person can open, and removes access when someone should no longer have it.
Documents and board records
Board papers, minutes, and other files your organization uploads are kept for that workspace and are not published on a public web address. Access is controlled by organization membership and the permissions your administrator assigns. Viewing and downloading require a signed-in account with access to that record.
Backups
We maintain backups as part of operating the service. Backups may retain copies for a limited time before they are overwritten. MwaiBoard is a workspace for your board's records, not a backup service. Your organization should keep its own copies of anything it must retain.
Audit trail
User activity is recorded across the platform, so administrators can see who did what and when.
Access for auditors
Administrators can give auditors access to board records, so documents don't need to be emailed or printed.
Blocking suspicious access
Access from suspicious IP addresses can be blocked.
Sign-in
- Passwords are stored as a hash, not as plain text.
- Repeated sign-in or signup attempts can require a CAPTCHA.
- A blocked attempt to open a page without permission is logged.
- Idle sign-in sessions expire after a period of inactivity.
Payments
Subscriptions are paid on the website. Card numbers are entered on the payment provider's page, not stored in MwaiBoard.
Meetings and notifications
Camera and microphone are used only while you are in a meeting video. They are not used in the background.
What you control
Use a private password and do not share it. Remove members who leave the organization. Turn off camera, microphone, and notification permissions in the device settings if you do not want those features.
